Pen Hood
Oss
Pen is a shy, reclusive beast who values her privacy.
She appears only in films, photographic projects, musical compositions, ancient tales, and across her social media, and attends only select local festivals, events, weddings, and the openings of exhibitions, crisps, snacks and envelopes.
She likes to keep in shape with joyful prancing and some light bystander traumatisation, and by following a plant-based diet of greenery pilfered from unsuspecting hats.

Maw Bras
Oss
Maw is Pen Hood’s chonky sidekick who serves mainly as a hatstand, but dreams of taking the team forward to solving mysteries in a time-travelling coffee-pot.
Pen says he can’t keep secrets and he’s not allowed to talk about their new film that’s . . . oops, secrets!

Margh Rudh
Oss
Margh Rudh, the striking red horse of Lanust, first emerged from among the holed stones and burial mounds that surround Carn Kenidjack. This wild place, where the ancient magic still lingered beneath the ground, was once said to be the birthplace of the serpent current. People would come from all around to witness the golden glow of the solstice sunset as the dying sun set over the distant Isles of Scilly. As the last bit of daylight faded the legendary red horse would appear, marking the rebirth of the year.

Alargh Du
Oss
Alargh Du is a wild young Oss recently found wandering the rugged shoreline of Trenow Cove.
He is allegedly keeper of the fabled black key & guardian of the bird kingdom.
When not frequenting bars drinking cocktails or out raving at questionable venues of ill repute he can be found haunting the moors & shoreline of West Cornwall.

Borlowen
Oss
A mysterious and magical addition the wild herd.
“For at least two hundred years the extraordinary Beasts of Penzance have prowled the winter streets after dark, terrifying passersby and performing random acts of kindness for kittens and little children …

Old Ned
Old Ned — the elusive Raven King of Montol — roosts behind the black clock face of The Market House, huddled among ticking gears and shiny trinkets brought by friendly rooks, hidden from Winter’s dreaded bell.
But one bitter night, music drifts through the shadowed streets — wild, ancient, irresistible.
Montol has begun.
Drawn from his perch, Ned stumbles into a whirl of masked revellers, blazing lanterns and the glowing Montol Sun.
Mocked and bewildered, he’s about to flee when a woman crowned in holly and ivy dances forward and with her gentle steps, the Raven King rediscovered his own.
Together they lead the procession to Lescudjack Castle, the Herald of Winter tolling behind.
As the bonfire roars, Old Ned dances into legend — vanishing into Montol’s magic …
to return each year to still winter’s bell and guide the Sun to its burning and renewal.
