Finally feels like autumn now – rising before the sun, mind and body starting to shut down half way through the afternoon as the light fades again – slow to adjust.
Time to turn our minds to Montol in earnest.
Sourcing, mending, fettling, making, tweaking, learning, rehearsing, remembering, inventing and reinventing.
Paperwork and maps, permissions and insurance and plans.
Getting worried … getting excited.
Now start the sleepless nights. Oh well – it will be worth it.
First thing:
Don’t forget that this year Montol is on a Monday.
And Second:
The Gathering will be on Saturday 28 November at the Union on Chapel Street.
Formal invitations will appear after Kalan Gwav – Allentide – Samhain – Halloween but do save the date and share it around.
In accordance with our venerable traditions, Guilds, Beasts, performers, musicians and our beautiful band – enter your names in the Ancient Montol Ledger.
And in fact anyone else willing to put out for the Solstice.
Hard Core, Old Hands, New Recruits, True-Believers and Montol-Curious alike … Everyone is welcome.
Meet and laugh, swap gossip and hear the news, inspire and be inspired.
Rekindle the fires of Montol.
There will be music and dancing and Mahogany
A certain amount of ceremony, leavened with much silliness.
Oh and of course it’s free.
