cornucopia

Guldize – Troyl

As usual the highlight of the Guldize/Troyl evening, on 19th September, will be … drumroll please … the Raffle.

So – Montol – your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to supply a cornucopia of produce for prizes.

Your hand-picked fruit, home-grown vegetables, lovingly nurtured through the fiery summer months perhaps.

Your home-made preserves and harvest loaves (with or without field mouses) … and I do know a few of you make mead and cider – some of which is even safe to drink.

And it would be lovely to sample some Guldize cakes and puddings – which are historically and geographically pretty varied – so no authenticity police will be allowed in – taste will be our sole criterion.

The proceeds of which will go to support a certain obscure mid-winter festival.

Knowing the notoriously bad reception at the Union – it would make sense to go old-school and bring along some cash money.

We’ll be there decorating throughout Saturday afternoon – so you can just drop in and drop off your contribution.
