Talking Keepies

That time again – talking about sustainability, clean and safe streets.

Talking reusable cups

We’ll be checking in with all the pubs in town about filling your own vessels – they’ve been great the last few years – but as a festival we are not planning to produce our own reusable cups.

And we don’t want to add to all the “stuff” in the world.

We know that most of you already have at least one.
That’s actually … 15 in the photo?!
A bit obsessive but they do elevate a chippy tea on the beach to the elegance of a fancy picnic.

Last year we put a call out to our tribe to bring their own reusable drinking vessel of choice – and you were fabulous.
Doing the site walk next morning, there was very little broken glass.
Everyone had been careful to keep empties in, or stacked up next to, the bins.
Which is even more incredible given the state some of us were in by the end of the evening!
This is Penzance after all.

We’d love you to help us keep Montol safe and sustainable and the streets free of glass. More people bringing their own vessels means less reusable and non reusable plastic and less waste!

So please come to Montol with your keepie cups of choice.
